A website linked my free pattern with an image that isn't mine.

I’m thankful for the one site link they sent my website. But honestly I had never heard of the site before so I was very curious as to how they had gotten to me from THEWEBSITE (idk if I can mention the actual site here)

I’m not a member so I was new to navigating the site, eventually I found the search bar, scrolled down and sure enough it mentions my free pattern and links to my site. Except the image they’re using isn’t mine, in fact it’s way nicer and my pattern isn’t similar at all if you know what you’re looking at.

I would’ve appreciated them reaching out to me. I make myself incredibly accessible. I have email, a website, I’m on most social media. You can just google.

I am going to reach out to them tomorrow and I’m sure it will be resolved politely and easily but I don’t really know how to feel other than confused.

Has this happened to anyone else’s patterns?

i’ve noticed a few patterns in the past few days that i’ve seen other places showing up on here too. paid patterns that were free elsewhere…and i’m unsure if they were meant to be free.

a lot of them belong to etsy shops. makes me wonder, ya know?
