So I have this project that I need to finish for a Christmas present but it is only like half done how do I convince myself to do it because I rly need to finish I just don’t have any motivation to do it

Personally when that happens I just take a break and go back to it when I feel like it. If I force myself to do something it’ll only be a little work done. Once I get the motivation/energy actually want to work on something I’ll get a lot of work done, it’s okay to take a break when you need to!

I highly agree with @Bobacat123. To add to that, however, i would also recommend working on some other projects as well. Do something fun in between the tedious ‘have to’ work. Dont forget that yes while christmas is around the corner, you also do have time to do it. Dont overdo it or push yourself. Work 5 mins here and there. Heck set a timer even. That helps sometimes, but be gentle on yourself 
youve already started the project and that in itself is a difficult step.

Completely understandable. Maybe do the timer method? Try putting a timer on for 5 minutes then stop after that or if you feel like going longer, simply continue. Sometimes the hardest thing to do is pick up the project. I do wish you the best of luck! :)

The hardest part abt this project is there is a ridiculous amount of color changes I have sewn in 113 ends and still have hundreds
