Hello everyone,
I thrift most of my yarn, usually at garage sales, estate sales, Goodwills, etc. Like thrifting anything, I have good luck and bad luck. Well, I was at a garage sale the other day and I saw this suitcase next to a bunch of yarn. I opened it up and it had a bunch of yarn and knitting needles and hooks inside. It also had some yarn scissors, a knitting mushroom, and a ton of storage space. There was also some old person’s glasses left in there, so there’s a good chance this case is cursed, but oh well. I bought it all for $15. I took the salvageable yarn and cleaned the case and needles and now it is looking good as new! It had a suitcase handle and wheels, so this is coming with me everywhere.
I am really happy with this find, and good luck to all the other thrifters out there! This was an amazing find and I hope others have good luck like this as well.
Also a small PSA, always was the yarn you thrift, even if it looks clean. There are a couple ways to do this, I hand wash mine, but there are other ways to do so. Check out this topic I wrote a couple months ago for more info on why: Thrifted yarn warning!
Have a great day/night!
