Alot of people have been saying that “thats not how your supposed to do a pattern” or “you don’t need to have pictures in your patterns”but I have been making patterns for a long time now and is it me am I just bad at pattern making do you not like my patterns ? why are they always saying that Please tell me

i went to go download a pattern of yours, but i hit my daily limit. anyways, im sure your patterns are written quite well, especially considering how many you have. plus i find that pics can be super helpful, especially if the instructions can be a bit confusing

There’s no right or wrong way to write a pattern, so I don’t know why people would be criticizing you. I say just keep doing what you love and don’t listen to haters! I personally like your patterns and have a few of them on my wishlist for when I have time to crochet aside from all my tests lol

I’m not gonna lie the not needing pictures thing is making me scratch my head. I am almost always commenting that ppl need to add pictures of the pattern in progress not like every single step but at points where getting the shape just right is important. I’m pretty sure I’ve tested one or two by you, and I don’t think I’ve ever thought this. Everyone has a different way of doing things and sometimes ppl just need to take a step back (myself included), breathe, and ask themselves if it’s really a problem for the general population or just us. Because there’s no way everyone is going to immediately understand what you are trying to impart upon them. I have a horrible time explaining myself at times

gonna throw my tally on the board that i am usually one of the testers who say it’d be helpful to have pictures in patterns. visual aids are extremely useful to anyone at any level of skill. if the stitch count makes sense, the instructions are straightforward, and the abbreviations can be understood… the pattern can be done!
i’ve not had the chance to try one of your patterns (as i have a few that i am testing now), but know that i have an eye on your sunset dragon! i hope testing goes well.

I don’t see a problem with what I have read on the test pattern other than a couple of typos already mentioned. As for the photos, I think it is great to be able to see what it’s supposed to look like and at times helpful.
Some people aren’t happy unless they are causing trouble for others. I say take it with a grain of salt. There is helpful criticism and then just outright meanfulness. Perhaps they are just jealous of your ability

but pictures are helpful to patterns.
your patterns are amazing and you deserve more and more love on them!
patterns are tough to make, and you understand more to a pattern than pretty much anybody else who doesnt. never give up !

your patterns are really good i tested one or two of them and somethimes there are mistakes but everyone makes mistakes

Pictures it your patterns are great to have. I have had several testers recommend that I add more pics to my patterns.

Having adhd and the constant inability to correctly read numbers and words correctly make photos A DREAM.
While I’m so forgetful that I manage to not take them for my own patterns, Im always, ALWAYS thankful when a particularly “complicated” set of rows has pictures attached.
