stuffed animals pictured below ready to sell? People on Facebook said they weren’t because they weren’t perfect, but another person said to advertise them as wabi-sabi which is basically a Japanese word for perfectly imperfect. Thank you in advance for any advice I may receive.
They’re still adorable even if they’re not perfect as long as you’re not dishonest about how they turned out (e.g. using pictures of how they’d look if they were perfect on an Etsy listing) there’s no reason you can’t sell them! Good luck!
I mean in terms of wabi sabi I think they just look handmade and there’s nothing you can change about that, I mean if you personally don’t think they’re perfect maybe add a discount or something to make it more appealing. I would just add “handmade” in the posting if you sell them. Don’t undermine your work it looks amazing!!!
Also I was hoping to sell them at in person markets rather than online marketplaces like Etsy , as I am a complete newbie to Etsy. How much would you recommend I charge in person and how much would you recommend I charge online?
I love them! they’re not imperfect, they’re handmade, which means that they’ll never be ‘perfect’ by the standards of people. The fact that they’re not perfect makes them that much more appealing.
Those are cute, they don’t need to be perfect they’re handmade, honestly I don’t know how you should price (I price differently than others) but from experience people tend to buy things more at markets than they do online.
Maybe like 20-30 they look amazing and I would honestly search up knitted plush on Etsy and see what others are pricing theirs according to size and whatnot. I would then price a bit lower so people are more interested. Hope this helps!
i think they’re ready to sell! honestly, products don’t have to be perfect. a lot of my plushies that have imperfections sell more over the ones that don’t since they’re unique and quirky! people love plushies that “have spark” — that’s how my partner puts it!
i think you can always try to sell them, because the right person might come along and purchase it! if you’re selling online, i would just be sure to photograph and list in the product description any potential imperfections the plushie may have so the buyer is aware!
