I have a sewing machine and I sew! I have no tips really, i was self taught and my mom helped me along the way. Just watch a bunch of YouTube videos i guess. Cuz thatās what i did.

I have a sewing machine!!! I think it is very helpful when you are sewing large pieces and want the stitches to be done quicker and neater, but you do need to have a lot of patience because you first have to learn how to maintain and fix the machine beacuse there is ALWAYS something wrong, and then you do have to learn the stitch spacing and how to sew properly without sewing your two sides together which I have done TOO MANEY times. However, once you get the hang of it, itās totally worth it!

Personally I think my sewing machine is a lifesaver! Iām pretty bad at hand sewing, and a sewing machine has really helped me to keep my stitches straight. It does depend on how much you are willing to spend on it, but I would invest in one. (I canāt really give you many tips bc Iām really not the most skilled but look up a good tutorial for beginners Iām sure you could find one)

Even though Iām pretty new to the craft (if you donāt count doing it in school) I really like sewing and it can surely fit anybody with the patience!
If you know anybody with a machine, you maybe could ask them to try it out and see if you like it?

Yes! I think it is so much more easier to make big projects the smaller ones.

I have a friend that knows how to sew I donāt but one thing Iāve learnt from her is that before you buy a sewing machine you should try hand sewing to make basic things I donāt know what those easy things are but I just know what hand sewing takes a while for big things and hand sewing g needles arenāt THAT expensive but if you know how I crochet sewing is also helpful sometimes Iām more of a crochet person anyway

your local library will usually have at least one location with a sewing machine! Iāve been using them for a while and have taught others, so I could probably help you

I have been sewing for about 20+ years and honestly a lot has changed as major craft stores have gone out of business(RIP Joannās 
). At this point a lot of sewing machines that are good quality are difficult to find in stores and many have to be ordered online( where I have bought my last couple machines).
If youāre just starting I definitely recommend taking some classes. A lot of community colleges have classes for sewing that you can take. They are not too spendy and a great way to learn the basics on a decent machine with materials that are not too difficult to work with.
Also if you are looking for you own machine, a lot of thrift stores or even yard sales/estate sales tend to have options to start out with before making a larger investment.
Last thing I would recommend is starting out with easy to use materials, such as cotton or flannel fabrics. These tend to have less slip to them when you sew and usually donāt stretch so they are definitely easier to work with.
