Beginner in need of help :(

Was planning on crocheting a car hanger for my sister’s birthday coming up, but I know her car gets incredibly damp during the colder months, and I would hate for the yarn and fiberfill to get moist and moldy because of it.

Anything I can do to make it not as vulnerable or things I can recommend to my sister to keep it safe and dry?

all i can think of would be to take it out when it gets cold

DampRid could help with the moisture in the air but my guess is that there is some kind of missing or broken seal. Acrylic is less absorbent than cotton.
