I have a question for ya. As you can tell by the title, I am looking for the best yarn for outdoor use. I crocheted a little panel for the back of my moms car, and unfortunately the weather got the best to it (twice now First time I believe I used acrylic because it was all I had, second time I used cotton because I know it absorbs cotton well. I also sprayed some weather protectant on it. It worked, but I never reapplied it.)
I saw someone say Phentex yarn, but I have never heard of that before. I wanted to get y’all’s opinions on it before I bought anything! Thank you so much! <3
When I searched online that Phentex was mentioned as well also never heard of it. I also saw people mentioned they used Red Hearts super saver yarn acrylic and that worked, not sure what acrylic yarn you used before though. I also saw people mentioned using a spray as well, but a general consensus was that if it’s out in the sun and weather it’s going to wear down eventually
(also changed the space from Suggestions as that’s meant to be suggestions for the Ribblr app/website)
No worries! I also just saw people mention Bernat made yarn specifically for outdoor use but that it’s harder to find and the name changed (not sure to what) so it could just be online/discontinued now but it wouldn’t hurt to search for alternatives near you!
Thank you so much! I have heard about that, maybe I will give it a try. I am just worries about it scratching the panel, but It will probably do that regardless. I will look into everything, thank you so much!
