Hi! Iâve found that if the project can be worked in joined turned rows, then the seam will stay straight. Also if the drifting isnât a problem and itâs just the ugly seam, I like to use this technique:

Sorry, I didnât realise the video wouldnât work on Ribblr. I think if you click on the underlined âWatch on YouTubeâ itâll take you to the videoâs YouTube page where itâll play. Otherwise, I did try to find another video but I couldnât find one that showed the exact same technique. Basically you start a round (without chaining) using an sc, then work hdc stitches around and finish with this join in the first hdc stitch:
This join is made over the sc and is treated as the top loops of the stitch (the result looks like a hdc). The last stitch of each round is worked into the join.
If using dc stitches, the technique is the same as for hdc but start the round with a sc and ch 1 instead of just sc.
