So I have been promising my son a Birth Year Temperature Blanket… And this is the year!
I’m using Diamond Miners Quilt by Lucky Fox Knits and Looks and Threads Woolike yarn
It’ll be assembled in a circular pattern, which means I need 390 for it to work properly… I’ll have 366 for the birth year including birth and 1st birthday, plus 12 black to separate the months, then I’ll add 12 additional birthday temps…
This will be a great “travel” project when I need a break from his socks, or a naptime project when the baby is on me 
Are we taking bets on how long it’ll take? 
Here’s the first diamond that I “mined”

When asked his favorite color, he usually answers "yes"or “all”… Because we sometimes needed to pick just one color, when pressed he would always choose gold… So this blanket is a great example of his personality and love of colors… Like his parents, he prefers darker colors, but he really does seem to love any and all colors (in the right situation, pink is included, hence why mauve is in this blanket)

Thanks everyone! We’re pretty excited too!
Little less excited that so far they are taking over 90 mins each (first one was just shy of 2 hrs), but as I said, it’ll be a great travel or an in-between project… I’m thinking anytime I finish a project or want a break from a current project, it’ll be a great “quick” in between…
I’ll try to post updates anytime I finish a round (each round increases by 5, if I figured it correctly)… I’ll also post on my social media, so if you already follow me, you may see it twice

Alright I have 4 done, but not days 1-4 (don’t ask)… So I’m working on 2 tonight that will give me days 1-6 and I’ll be able to join the first round of 5…
I told you it will be slow progress, but hey… There’s progress!
