Hi everyone I was hoping if anyone had any crochet blanket ideas, as of September last year someone I knew very well passed away, he was in his 20s. So I want to make his family a crochet blanket to show my respect, support and care. If you have any or know a blanket patterns on/off ribblr it would mean a lot to me if you could share them.

Ok idk but maybe you could make your own pattern with his name on it or his face or a place he loved or smth.

One more idea: it’s not a blanket, but if you knew his fav color and animal, you could crochet that and embroider his name. This might also be nice if he had younger people in his family so they could hug the plushie, if that may help them imagine hugging them. Totally your choice but I hope this helped.

I have recently found the Virus or German Shell blanket, it is really pretty. I found tons of YouTube tutorials for it. I am making one to put one Ribblr, but don’t know when I’ll have it up.
This isn’t on ribblr but the 6 day star blanket, I’m making one at the moment with dk yarn and it works up pretty quickly and looks really cool, sorry about your friend.
You could do a granny square blanket, made of his favorite colors with his favorite animals and such things? Like work an aplique of the favorite thing into the granny square as a memorial?
You could do something simple but incorporating his favorite things or symbols that represent him
All I did for my blanket is crochet a huge granny square with bernat blanket yarn and a 6mm hook it took tree rolls of yarn to crochet the size I did
