Im working on a bunny - the last piece of the bunny (an ear) missing only 3 more rounds of 12st and POOF hit the end of the skein 
i solved it by making the other ear shorter and stealing the yarn from the 1st ear to kinda complete the 2nd one that was FUN

I was making a cookie ornament half way through second half end of the yarn.
In the end second half was redone in a darker brown

I was actually just working on a bunny too when the same happened to me!! I started the project for a quick gift while trying to used up some old yarn instead of buying more, and still had to end up getting another skein!! I had a couple limbs left though, so I guess I should of saw it coming
