Cannot dm or see the dms of whoever did

Iā€™ve been having a lot of issues idk why since I joined.

I wanted to dm someone so I asked ppl how to dm, and they said to click on the chat button in the persons profile. But there is no such button.

So i looked around near the channels and discovered some dms that were sent to me somehow but i couldnā€™t see them normally.

I will put some photos here:

First I clicked this

Then this popped up

So i clicked start a personal chat

And I searched peoples name but it wasnā€™t coming. So i clicked new groupchat and I put people name in it and the groupchat name but there is no button saying create groupchat.

Also I cannot open the dms of the two people the sent a dm to me

I asked help from some ppl but they had no idea so @ribblr please help

New update: one of the persons dm notifications came on my email so I clicked it from there and it opened in ribblr and I starred it so now it shows up under the starred channels.

But I still cannot dm anybody else

It might be since you havenā€™t been very online yet!

You prolly just havenā€™t gained that ability yet, it should come once youā€™ve been online a bit more.

Iā€™ll search up what youā€™ve got to do, brb..

So when you tap on someoneā€™s username ypu will see something like this:

If you tap on the one that says message, then you can press the plus button and type in someoneā€™s username to add them. To send/make the message you then need to fill out the title and message and then send it. If you have any more questions I would be happy to help.

Sorry Iā€™d help but I also struggle with this stuff sometimes :sweat_smile::face_with_spiral_eyes: but @ExistingDuck found why. I feel like you should still be able to make pmā€™s tho?:woman_shrugging:

Keep in mind that dmā€™s only remain for 7 days. No time limit on pmā€™s

iā€™m pretty sure itā€™s only 2 days now- might be wrong though, but just letting you know!

edit: just kidding, itā€™s 7 days- i mistook it for gen chat, which is 2 days!

yep, i think a lot of messages were being sent, making ribblr really laggy at the time.

it was part of the maintenance they did a while ago!
