Someone else has already mentioned the artist. That is not a real excuse (and would definitely not hold up in court), you could reverse image search or just choose a picture that you know the source of AND ask the creator for consent beforehand.

The internet (or Pinterest) is never the actual source, and trying to find the artist and using their work the legal way is not something only a superhero could manage to accomplish.

It is so incredibly easy to find information online (especially with a bit of practice), there’s hundreds of tutorials and guides on how to do it out there. So if someone just really, really have to use art from an unknown source instead of a known one, it’s their obligation to do some research and get consent from the creator, otherwise it is theft. And encouraging others with a contest to copy that art work without consent from the artist is even worse, it’s now much bigger scale than just one person copying something, and the evidence is all over this thread in writing.
Maybe research intellectual property and copyright a bit, you could start by watching a video about how Disney or nintendo regularly use lawsuits to protect their IP.

(I actually think that stealing from big corporations is totally valid and should be done more because of capitalism etc. but stealing from a single individual or a small company is very unethical since it hurts them much more. It’s just very easy to comprehend the whole issue if you research those two companies.)

1 possibility of who the author might be is Naiomi Lord on Facebook. If you search with Google lense that’s one of the images that comes up. IN her post she says she cant wait to finish the rest of her gemstone dragons which suggests she might have created it.

I did some more research and based on the art style and the fact that it’s on her Facebook page, Naiomi Lord Art(that’s her account name) looks like she could very possibly be the artist

Very sorry. I will further credit the artist and ask for permission. I really do not want to start a fight here. Again, sorry. I believe The artist is Naomi lord but I got this art from another post that wasn’t them

One question . Have u ever used picture, diagrams and drawings from the internet to make presentations for school?

Not really, but when I did I referenced the sources, that’s one of the most important things to do in essays and other school work. Not really relevant though since that’s more for personal use.

I’m really glad that the OP learned something and said sorry and I have absolutely no problem with them.

But someone else implying that art from the internet is hard to find the source of so why even bother pisses me off. That’s just lazy, no one is entitled to use some one else’s work in any way they want for free just because it’s on the internet.

ok yes the author said she’s sry. If she wants to start it again she will ask permission. We don’t really need more on this subject.
YOu helped us learn something and thank you for that but nothing more is really necessary. Pls don’t take this as rude, it just pisses me off when people keep talking about something when someone has already apologized.
Pls don’t take this as rude, I have absolutely no problem with you and I hope you don’t feel this is rude. If you feel it is pls DM me and we can chat there.
Have a great day!

If you read my comment, this wasn’t directed at the author:

My comment was a response to the person I quoted at the start of my text.

I agree with @CountryGirlForever for me it sounded rude but u probably don’t mean it that way . And I usually react that way when people keep sending messages about the same thing over and over again but I agree I didn’t think enough before sending my message .
