But sorry, I’m pretty new here, so I’m still not really sure how things work. Is a journal like final thoughts about the pattern or am I supposed to write stuff along the way too?

a journal is kinda like a review of the pattern, just don’t put things the designer needs to fix bc that will be fixed and ppl dont need to see that
