[CLOSED] Tester call for Crochet: Boots the Chunky Pirate

I need testers for my Boots the Chunky Pirate - Crochet ePattern

Due Date: 2 weeks from start of test (I will pick testers in the next couple of days)

Skill Level: Intermediate - mostly simple stitches with a few more advance techniques/stitches, a little sewing, some front loop only stitches and a few colour changes.

About the Pattern:

  • No-sew body base starts at the bottom of the feet and works up to the top of the head as a single piece, crocheting in the arms
  • Sewing required for beard, eye patch and hat
  • Approx. 20cm tall with DK yarn and 2.5mm hook, 35cm tall with chunky yarn and 4mm hook
  • Mix and match with my other Chunky patterns. For example, make yourself a donkey pirate by using Waffles the Chunky Donkey to modify this pattern

If you’ve tested any of my other chunky or pig patterns, the base of this pattern is identical. I also have many more patterns coming soon, all designed to be mixed and matched thanks to the shared base.

Additional Requirements:

  • You can use any yarn and the appropriate hook size, and experiment with different colours. This is a great pattern to make using plush yarn!

  • The instructions include options for either safety eyes or crocheted eyes, so do not worry if you do not have any safety eyes

  • You must be willing to provide feedback on any parts of the pattern that are unclear or if you spot any errors / typos

  • I would also like feedback on the level of difficulty.

  • A journal entry of the finished item would be amazing, but not required - however, I would love to see a photo of your finished amigurumi.

  • If you would like to do a mashup with any of my other patterns, let me know in the comments.

Thanks for looking :grinning:

I just love him! I’m going to have to test him instead of farmers. I’m just not that fast yet. This pirate is just amazing so I must make him.

I’d love to test it, with chenille yarn and 5mm hook.

I could try, depending on the time left, the beard with plush yarn.
