[CLOSED] Tester call for Crochet: Chunky Santa

I need testers for my Chunky Santa - Crochet ePattern

Thank you to everyone who helped me decide on a Christmas set for this year. Here is my first ‘unmashed’ Christmas Chunky.

Due Date: 2 weeks from start of test (I will pick testers in the next couple of days)

Skill Level: Intermediate - mostly simple stitches with a few more advance techniques/stitches, a little sewing, some front loop only stitches and a few colour changes.

About the Pattern:

  • Starts at the bottom of the feet and works up to the top of the head as a single piece, crocheting in the arms
  • Sewing required to attach hair, beard and hat
  • Curly hair is created using loop stitch - alternative method also included in pattern*
  • Approx. 20cm tall with DK yarn and 2.5mm hook, 35cm tall with chunky yarn and 4mm hook

If you’ve tested any of my other chunky or pig patterns, the base of this pattern is identical. I also have many more patterns coming soon, all designed to be mixed and matched thanks to the shared base.

Additional Requirements:

  • You can use any yarn and the appropriate hook size, and experiment with different colours. This is a great pattern to make using plush yarn!
  • The instructions include options for either safety eyes or crocheted eyes, so do not worry if you do not have any safety eyes
  • You must be willing to provide feedback on any parts of the pattern that are unclear or if you spot any errors / typos
  • I would also like feedback on the level of difficulty. I was hoping to make this a beginner pattern but feel that it is probably more intermediate due to the hair.
  • A journal entry of the finished item would be amazing, but not required - however, I would love to see a photo of your finished amigurumi.
  • If you would like to do a mashup with any of my other patterns, let me know in the comments. For example, here is my Christmas Pig from last year. I would love to see some other animals mashed with Santa.

Thanks for looking :grinning:

I would love to test this for you! All of your chunky patterns have been so cute!

Unfortunately I haven’t had the opportunity to buy one so I wouldn’t be able to make an animal Santa but if love to make the human one for you!

He looks so cute! I’d love to test :santa_claus:

Id probably try to make two versions, a Santa and a krampus just to see what parts of the pattern are easiest and what is more intermediate.

Glwt!!!

I would be using worsted weight and a 3mm hook. I would love to test just about any of them especially the monkey, hippo, bee pig. I would also love to test any as a Mars Clause. Christmas is my favorite holiday.:christmas_tree:

Edit: I have not done the loop stitch but I am a quick learn.
