[CLOSED] Tester call for Crochet: Eggy Santa - Christmas Special

I need testers for my Eggy Santa - Christmas Special - Crochet ePattern

I am so excited for my first Christmas pattern!

Due Date: 2 weeks from start of test (I will pick testers in the next couple of days)

Skill Level: I have assigned an intermediate skill level to this pattern. While the majority of it involves simple stitches, it also includes the bobble stitch and surface slip stitch, and requires some assembly when sewing components together. Additionally, the hair is made using the loop stitch, and some of the smaller components can be a bit fiddly. All stitches are fully explained within the pattern.

Additional Requirements:

  • You can use any yarn and the appropriate hook size, and experiment with different colours. However, I think that the detail would make it a tricky one to make using a plush yarn.

  • The instructions include options for either safety eyes or crocheted eyes, so do not worry if you do not have any safety eyes

  • You must be willing to provide feedback on any parts of the pattern that are unclear or if you spot any errors / typos

  • A journal entry of the finished item would be amazing, but not required - however, I would love to see a photo of your finished Eggy.

  • I personally love loop stitch. However, I do know that some people prefer not to use it. I would be happy for some testers to have a go at making Eggy Santa without loop stitch. I believe that this would work - he just would not have curly hair.

Thanks for looking :grinning:

Donā€™t worry about rushing it. I am just trying to get a bit ahead of the game

If you canā€™t make the deadline, just let me know!

oh I can make the dead line. Oct 26th is the cruise and have almost everything done I want to do. Only thing to fill the rest of the time is make things to give out. Already have about 200 so I am fine. Learned about Cruising ducks during the shut down. So I make things to hand out and make people smile and spread joy. Some ducks, Octos and Whales. Since it is a Halloween cruise making some seasonal things too. Working on my Halloween costume right now. Made a Pumpkin hat. Going to buy a Jack-o-latern Tshirt. Then making smaller pumpkins to scatter on my and my scooter.

Loop stitch is not my favourite, I have applied and will be doing loop stitch if accepted

That sounds amazing. You must be a very fast crocheter! Iā€™d love to see pics of the outfit you are making if you have any?

Here is my hat and a couple of the slap bracelets I made to wear. Still need to make a few more bracelets. Actually crochet slow I get distracted. I do a ā€œ20 minute duckā€ in about 2 hours.

Iā€™ve never believed the ā€˜20 minuteā€™ anything crochet. It normally takes me that long to find my hook and the right colours :joy: those makes look amazing. Do you just crochet around slap bands.

yea had a dollar store go out of business and they had everything 75% off so picked some up. Just crocheted a long tube that the metal band fit into then closed the top. That also gave me something to sew the things on top.
