(Closed) Tester call for Crochet: Jumbo Candy Cane

I need testers for my Jumbo Candy Cane - Crochet ePattern

My goal is to release this pattern on Dec 1. So the due date to finish testing will be Nov 30.
Testers will be picked by Nov 22. (Some may be accepted sooner.)

I used a weight 7 yarn (four whole skeins of Mainstays Chunky Chenille, from Walmart) and a 15mm hook. Mine is around 4.5” in diameter and 28” tall.

I am interested to see what size it ends up being with different sized yarn and hooks. Please comment below what yarn and hook you would use!

I do need at least one tester to use a thick #7 yarn like I did, as that is what my pattern was designed for. It’s intended to be a decorative pillow. I believe Bernat blanket extra thick is similar in thickness to the mainstays chunky chenille, but the Bernat skeins have more yardage. Chunkier yarn can cost more, but I already sold my first jumbo candy cane for $95 at a holiday market so I think it was worth it! (Supplies were about $30 for me)

If you’re too busy to test now, don’t worry! I’ll put it on sale for the first week.

The only potentially difficult parts of this pattern is working with four ends, and lining up stitches as vertically as possible to create the curve. I’m confident intermediate crocheters can do this, and I hope many beginners as well! This pattern is written as a step by step and includes photos along the way.

Please send all feedback in the group chat and post a journal of your finished product.

Thanks in advance!

I’d love to test it with worsted weight and a 3.5mm hook. I’d probably use red’ white’ and green  I could also do it with weight 6 yarn and a 6mm hook if you’d prefer

I’ve started accepting testers. But feel free to still apply! Especially if you’re able to use a jumbo weight 7 yarn. I’ll add additional testers through the end of the week, as I receive applications.

I just wanted to tell you that your candy cane is so cute!!!
