[Closed] Tester call for Crochet: No-Sew Unicorn Snuggler Crochet Pattern

Hi guys!! I’m back with another tester call :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: I need 4-8 testers for my unicorn snuggler! This pattern is relatively quick to work up and is completely no-sew! The instructions are for the one made with regular plush, but you can easily customize it to make one with faux fur yarn like I did!

The PDF version of this pattern is out for testing on my Instagram as well. Feel free to apply to both!! (You can still choose to receive the Ribblr version of the pattern after testing)

Due Date: March 18th (2 weeks)
Please only apply if you’re able to finish on time, and pleaseee let me know if you want to opt out of testing! If you have not completed the journal (with a picture) by the due date with no explanation, I will have to assume that you no longer want to test the pattern and remove you :(

Additional Requirements:
:yarn: Plush yarn testers will have priority (does not have to be faux fur)! You don’t have to use the same colors as me, but preferably a white/cream color as the base, and nothing too crazy please! (Feel free to ask me in the comments about any color combinations you’re thinking of. I mighttt consider other options xD)

:camera: Please make a journal with at least one good picture in it (good lighting + clear/uncluttered background). I especially love natural lighting/outdoor pics :D The quality of your photos WILL affect whether you will be chosen.

  • I may also use photos for promotional purposes, so let me know if you don’t want your picture included. Thanks!

:envelope: Use the group chat to discuss any concerns, feedback, or things you’re confused about. Let me know about errors/suggestions in the group chat—not in the final journal please!

:speech_balloon: Comment what yarn and colors you would use!

(Note: if you don’t have any makes on Ribblr yet, please attach at least one picture of your make(s))

Thank you! :)

I’ll be picking testers within 3 days.

Does it have to be faux fur yarn?

Edit: (still finishing reading the rules) - I could do a cream base in either size 6 or size 7 yarn I have both on hand, but if I can ask (since this is pattern unfit if you prefer not answering the question or DMing the answer either is fine I respect your decision) how many stitches are in the biggest round, I want to know if I have enough yarn and it also helps me know if I can complete it by the due date, that is why I ask.

The yarns I’m considering would be (I am fine using any of these yarns mentioned below if you select me and you have a preference for the mentioned yarns just let me know, and I’ll go with that one)

Chenille Home by Loops & Threads for Jumbo size 7 in the color ivory (it’s a cream/white shade) as a base

& then same brand & size for other colors I have several available options (some of the names might be slightly off but hopefully close enough) taupe, amber red (the fox make I have is made it of the red I’m meaning, the chest of the fox is also the same color as the taupe), sand, bone (basically a light grey), navy, grey, black, heathered green, and I think maybe a few other options I can’t recall off the top of my head right now, all same brand and size and available options for the plush in you want me to do it in size 7 jumbo yarn

The size 6 option is

baby bee snugs and kisses

Colors:

vanilla bean as a base

&

blueberry as a secondary

I only have those 2 colors for baby bee snugs and kisses yarn so blueberry is my only option for a secondary

I also have some colors of

yarn bee cozy occasions as an option, but no cream colors mostly neutral earthy tones I think, I’d have to double check my stash on cozy occasions color options.

I can have good quality pictures and am fine with you using them for promotional purposes, if you loook at my makes page on ribblr my best pictured makes are taken by my mum, she likes taking the pictures of my makes and has past experience in photography, and she has a better camera on her phone, the lesser quality pictures were done be me with not the best lighting too, so generally I have my mum take the pictures if I’m testing a piece, she did the final pictures for my makes of the the humming bird, dragon, mallard duck, and Fox (specifically the amber red on all fours Fox), I took the picture for the other fox.

I can’t do a picture outdoors because it’s kinda hard to do in my neighborhood without risking doxing myself, but all my pictures on ribblr have been taken index I have flexible lighting options in both color and angle of the light.

Nope, it doesn’t! The pattern’s actually for regular plush yarn, and I just made another unicorn with faux fur instead!

The biggest round has 36 stitches!

Hi! Thanks for applying :) Would your unicorn just be blue or would there be other colors as well?

I’d love to test! White for the base, light pink for the hooves and hair, all in plush or chenille yarn. I’m not testing anything else so will 100% be able to make it on time. 7mm hook :unicorn:

I’d Love to test this. I could use white for the base if you prefer but I’d love to make in a baby pink or blue. I’d use a 5.25mm hook and plush yarn. Here are a couple recent tests I’ve done.

This is so cute. My niece would love this. I would use a plush yarn in a sparkly white, with some pink accents, and a 4mm hook.
