Closed - Tester call for Crochet: One Ball Market Bag

I need testers for my One Ball Market Bag - Crochet ePattern

If you have a 4oz Lily’s Sugar n’ Cream Super Size yarn ball in your stash, please apply to test!!!

Hello lovely testers! I designed this pattern very specifically to use ONE (1) 4oz ball of Lily’s Sugar n’ Cream Super Size cotton yarn (I’ve yet to find any other 4oz alternatives). So not only are we testing that the pattern makes sense, but we are also testing that the pattern can accommodate just ONE ball of yarn which is why it’s very important to use this specific yarn.

Note: Most Lily’s Sugar n’ Cream and alternatives are only 2-2.5oz so please be sure you have the 4oz version and not the 2/2.5oz version :folded_hands:

Yarn accommodation: Although I’m wondering if weighing the finished bag will also suffice as a way to prove that the pattern can be worked using just one of these balls of yarn  According to their website, the Super Size ball weighs about 200 grams, so if your finished bag weighs 200 grams or less, then that should mean the bag can be worked with just one 4oz ball of yarn, right?

I encourage crocheters of all skill levels to apply. The pattern difficulty is currently set to beginner, but I’m not sure if that’s accurate.

Due Date: Oct 1

Additional Requirements:

  • Upload a picture of the finished bag (either in use or not in use or both) when complete.
  • Proof that the bag was made using either a 4oz Lily’s Sugar n’ Cream ball or 400yds/200g or less of worsted weight 100% cotton yarn :folded_hands: (this could be an uploaded image of your yarn ball or an uploaded image of the finished bag on a scale weighing 200g or less)

Stitches used:

  • chain
  • double crochet
  • single crochet
  • herringbone double crochet

I know I’m asking a lot on this one so I really appreciate any and all interest in testing this pattern :folded_hands: :folded_hands: :folded_hands: Thank you in advance!!

Oh and this pattern will cost $5.99 once published

Thanks everyone for your kind words, interest, and well wishes! It really means a lot! I’ve still got some room left for testers if anyone else would like to join!

Requirements:

  • Due date is Oct 1
  • Must use worsted weight cotton yarn (preferably a 4oz ball of Lily’s Sugar n’ Cream) and provide proof that its under 200 grams to ensure I’m not falsely advertising the pattern
  • Upload picture of completed bag when finished

I’m really looking forward to getting this pattern tested and published! Thanks again!!

I will test of you want me to, but I don’t have that yarn.

What kind of yarn do you have? Is it worsted weight and cotton? Any worsted weight cotton will work, I just need to know how much of it you ended up using to complete the bag. Like, 2 balls of Loops & Threads or however many grams of some random cotton you found in your stash.

Let me know if that doesn’t make sense or if you have any other questions, thanks!! :folded_hands:

I have applied and would love to test. I have a ball of the Sugar 'n Cream 4 oz ball that I have been trying to find something to make with.

Hey! I would love to be a tester. I don’t think I’ll be able to get the specific yarn you require but I can weigh it. I have all other materials besides that specific yarn.

Hey! I would also maybe like to test if you need more. I can weigh out the yarn and take a pic to put in my journal.
