No-sew body base starts at the bottom of the feet and works up to the top of the head as a single piece, crocheting in the arms
Sewing required for ears, nose, mane and tail
Approx. 20cm tall with DK yarn and 2.5mm hook, 35cm tall with chunky yarn and 4mm hook
Mix and match with my other Chunky patterns. For example, make yourself a horse groom by using this pattern to modify Otis the Chunky Groom
If you’ve tested any of my recent chunky or pig patterns, the base of this pattern is identical. I also have many more patterns coming soon, all designed to be mixed and matched thanks to the shared base.
Additional Requirements:
You can use any yarn and the appropriate hook size, and experiment with different colours. This is a great pattern to make using plush yarn!
The instructions include options for either safety eyes or crocheted eyes, so do not worry if you do not have any safety eyes
You must be willing to provide feedback on any parts of the pattern that are unclear or if you spot any errors / typos
I would also like feedback on the level of difficulty.
A journal entry of the finished item would be amazing, but not required - however, I would love to see a photo of your finished amigurumi.
If you would like to do a mashup with any of my other patterns, let me know in the comments.
Well it’s doesn’t get much more beginner than me .. I would love a shot at making him as well as seeing what I could come up with by mixing him up! I just joined yesterday and oh this site is going to be a serious addiction . Thank you for the consideration, he’s adorable!
i have the perfect colorrrsssssss!!! imma use a 4 mm hook… might collab him with one the the human one for cloths or smt. (ill let u know what i end up doing)
i just can’t resist. He Soo cute if you need a tester I can use black and white for the mane and beige for the nose with a 1.75mm hook .If you pick me can I do a mashup with Otis the bride to continue the wedding animals series
I would love to test! Using a 4mm crochet hook. As always I’d use a mixer of Yarn Bee Velvety Smooth and Baby Bee Adore-a-ball, with maybe a little Yarn Bee Fur The Moment to make it have “feathers” along the legs and arms.
Being that it’s cold, I’d like to add the scarf from the reindeer pattern, if that’s okay with you.
Would love to test for you again! Why do you have so many adorable patterns??
Ille likely use bernat or some sort of chenille if I can’t find the right shade in bernat. Likely hook size 5.
Eta- it’s looking like Loops & Threads Petite Purl is the yarn I’d use
I would love to do a bride and groom, the bride a horse and the groom with a donkey mane. The bride for the long mane and the donkey mane for the groom because of it being shorter.
