[CLOSED] Tester call for Crochet: Sun-Drop Bandana

I need testers for my Sun-Drop Bandana - Crochet ePattern!
Due Date: 30th of November (around 2 weeks!)

Testers will be picked over the weekend! Nov 15-16

Hello! Hello! First time I’m making one of these! I’m looking for a few testers who can do the following:

  • Be able to count and check the pattern’s stitch count.

  • Provide feedback in the group chat on mistakes, grammar, wording, and anything else that might make the pattern confusing to follow.

  • Be active in chat and respond to the weekly check-up message.

  • Respond to the first message within 48th hours of being added to the group chat.

  • REQUIRED: create a journal with at least one well-lit final photo (preferably natural lighting)

I would like to use the finished photos as examples when posting the pattern here and on other sites. If you are uncomfortable with that, or want to be credited in it, please tell me when I create the group chat!

Additional Info:

Skill level: Intermediate

Can be done in any color; Medium-weight yarn is preferred

The finished product is approximately 11 inches from top to bottom point, 22 inches wide, with 15-inch straps. This is before blocking.

Largest stitch count is 106sts with 3 shell stitches (130 dcs)

I was able to complete this in around 3 days in between work breaks.

Materials Used:

  • Medium-weight yarn

  • 5mm crochet hook

  • Scissors

  • Tapestry needle for weaving in ends

If you wish to join, please comment the yarn and hook size you’re thinking of using, and a sun emoji :sun:

:sun: Wow, it’s really nice, I’d like to test it. I’d use a 100% viscose yarn and I’m still not sure about the hook, probably a 3.5 hook, but it will depends in pattern and on how viscose will work with used stitches

Cute! I have a few medium weigh yarns, thinking of a blue/grey gradient one I have! And probably stick with a 5mm hook

I’m thinking of using Lion Brand Two of Wands Color Theory (100% Acrylic) or Mondial 100% cotton, and test with the 5mm hook. I’ll use a yarn that is all one color so that it shows off the beautiful design of your bandana :sun:

I’d love to test this, it’s so pretty! :sun_with_face:I have some Mandala gradient yarn that would be so perfect for this  or even a really pretty yellow/brown Re-Make polyester yarn wt 4 thats so soft that would work up well for this pattern. And I’d probably use a sz 4/ 4.5mm (Mandala) or 5-5.5mm (Re-Make) hook but I’ll look at the pattern and once I start I’ll adjust as needed.

Thanks!!

This is GORGEOUS!! :sun_with_face: If you don’t pick me to test, PLEASE tag me in the release :folded_hands:

I have some pretty bamboo rayon that I don’t have a project for yet, and I think it would look great for this. I think it’s 3 weight so I’d use maybe a 3.5mm hook.

This looks like it would be nice in a soft sugar and cream yarn and maybe a 4.5 hook or 5! It’s varied in texture so it would be fun in a solid darker color, maybe purple?

:sun: I would use medium weight yarn (brand: 24/7 cotton) in brown. I would probably stick to a 5 mm, or go down to a 4.5 mm.

This is beautiful! I would love to test for you! I have some 4 weight yarn (not sure on the brand, I think red heart? Got it at goodwill and no label :see_no_evil_monkey:) and a number 5 hook.

This is so pretty!!! I have some weight 4 ombré yarn that might be really cool with this. Either sage green colors or maybe blue to go better with my hair :sun::sun_with_face:

#4 acrylic 5mm

:sun:I would love to test this pattern either with a 4mm hook or a 5mm hook and I would likely use a weight three or four yarn, whichever is preferred for testing!:sun:

I don’t see your user amongst the applied testers! Today’s the last day so remember to apply to the testing!

I would love to test with universe yarn and 3mm hook:blush::sun_with_face:
