Your sunflower is absolutely adorable. Would love to help you test this out. Is there a yarn weight requirement?
Here is how I test patterns, my first step is to read through the pattern and write it out by hand (I find this helps me spot any errors). Then while testing, I take several progress pictures of each piece of the pattern. Then upon completion I take several pictures at various angles of the completed project. I take notes throughout the test progess, which when completed get added to my journal along with all the pictures I have taken.
Now, if there are no yarn weight requirements, I would likely want to make 2. One in a #4 weight acrylic yarn, and second in a #6 bulky weight polyester yarn. He is going to be so stinking cute.
Now one other question, because I can’t tell from the pictures, what is the magnet for? I have various sizes of magnets, I just can’t tell for certain what they are used for.
Edit: forgot to mention that I also take measurements of everything I test. Along with giving the materials I used (so hook size and yarn used).
So, Im still confused with the magnets haha. I just finished reading through the pattern, and I only saw 1 magnet being used. So… is it when you have more than 1 bee? And if so, how do you make sure the magnets are put in correctly? So that they will kiss as opposed to be repelled from each other?
Yes, you need to make two bees so that they can kiss. And you put them in the bottom of the bee when you’re almost done ( where the face is going to be). And if you want to check if they don’t repell them self when you put them together before applying them or you can put one on the inside and one on the outside to check.
