I get it! Its only been recently that I have started to make biggger things!
Itās aāokay, I totally get it (Iāve really been putting you through it lately )
no itās all good, iāve been enjoying it , just taking the time to paint again
just a little concerned about the black yarn situation too
itās also coming to terms of untangling a yarn hank
Painting is so fun! I miss it I donāt envy you, good luck with that yarn untangling
What an amazing idea! I love his size and dimension! I would make him in chenille/bernat weighted yarn- definitely some color alteration like light purple, dark purple and black or other similar variations. Iām ready for however big he ends up being and completely comfortable with the stitching requirements in the post
Thank you! Definitely one of my bigger patterns!
Would love to test! I will be using bernat baby velvet as well

Please pick me as a tester i would love to make this as a bday gift for my dad bc he loves tapires.
I would use a 4mm hook with himalaya velvet yarn.
When the pattern realeses, will it be a free or paid pattern??
Im still thinking wich colors i would use.
I would love to test it And yes I read everything before applying hehe
Woah woah woahhhh!! He is so cute
Do you know (approx) how much yarn he uses? I really really want to test him but iām not sure I have enough yarnā¦
Hopefully I can test your smaller pattern!
Would love to test this fabulous dude. And i can make him in you dream combo
but it will be cotton- i dont have enough plush for him sadly.
I really wish I weighed the skiens before and after, but I didnt really realize how big he would end up beingā¦
But if I had to guess for the black parts:
Bernat blanket - almost a whole skien (75g ish?)
Normal velvet - 40-65g ?
Acrylic (weight 4) - 30-40g ?
Baby velvet (weight 4) - 10-15g ?
All these are guesses, he is about the same size as pudge (my dragon) and a few people had to get more yarn for him (all of them using a chunky yarn). Althoigh the number od sts per round on toby is less most of the time⦠I think⦠It also depends on what size hook you end up using.
Thank you! Iāve been thinking about making him in those colors in some fur yarn⦠just havenāt quite convinced myself yet
