Hello all!
I made this little mouse as a part of a Valentine’s collab here on Ribblr. I wasn’t sure if I was going to write up a pattern for it, but since one of my goals this year was to make more patterns, I finally started typing it up. It’s almost ready for prime time, so I figured I should start looking for testers; hopefully someone will be interested.
This is my first mockup version of Adora, but I’m aiming to make and photo another version with the second (surprise) accessory option tomorrow. Testers can choose which accessory they want to do after they’ve been chosen.
Looking for: 7-10 testers with various karma & skill levels. Testers will be selected on Monday the 27th.
Pattern skill level: Intermediate, but I think an adventurous beginner would be just fine tackling this project, especially if they have an amigurumi background.
Yarn/Hook/Color Requirements: None; would love to see this in a variety of colors and yarn types.
Due Date: ASAP, but realistically by 11:59 PM on 02/09 would be great, meaning the testing period is roughly 14 days. I realize that’s a tight turnaround, so I’m not expecting everyone to finish it completely, but any feedback you could give on the progress you have made until that date would be a great help to me. You will be gifted the pattern as long as you make any sort of visible progress on the pattern due to the shorter time frame.
Requirements: If there is no journal progress or correspondence with me by February 5th, you will be dropped from testing. Journals are not required, but communication is. Photos of your final Adora would also be amazing, so I can share them in a pattern appreciation post.
Please let me know if you need to bail on the test ahead of time for any reason at all, that way if another tester is willing they can possibly take your place. Essentially, I’d like to release it as soon as my testers are finished, so if they finish early the pattern will be dropped early. The anticipated release date is February 10th.
Additonal pattern info: While felt is used in the final design, you aren’t required to use it. There are other options to felt mentioned in the pattern, but you can also omit the felt elements and it would still be fine.
There is also an optional wire element (which could be substituted with a trimmed pipe cleaner/chenille stem), but given the short time frame there is no expectation that either be used and actually the version pictured here doesn’t use the wire component, so it truly is optional.
There is a fair bit of sewing, but I don’t think it is challenging or time-consuming in nature - just standard amigurumi sewing, if that makes sense.
Overall, I think this pattern works up in just a few hours. Once released, it will be free for the rest of February, but then it will cost $2.00.
If you’re applying to test, please comment to let me know you’ve read through the post. I’ll do my best to respond in a timely fashion to any questions, though I’m battling a gnarly cold right now so response time may vary. Feel free to share any color combos or yarns you have in mind if you want to test, though it is not required to do so.
(All applications have beeen received and accepted; thank you! I still would like to respond to people so please don’t close this thread just yet.)
