Hi everyone! So i know that there are googly safety eyes, but im hoping to find googly safety eyes with different colored pupils than just black. Red, green, blue, etc.
Does anyone know where to find some?

The only ones I ever see for wiggly googly eyes that have colored pupils are self adhesive and not with the safety backing, which I feel since they have colored ones there should be some with the backing but I’ve never seen them besides colored safety eyes that don’t have moving pupils

I would paint, but seeing as im looking for googly, i domt think i could get the pupil back inside

yes its very hard and I Strongly Advise Against Opening a Safety Eye the best option unfortanutly is to just keep looking however *its really hard to find differnt colored pupils i recommend just not using them unless your not talking about the pupil instead the background color I’m so sorry
Opening a safety eye is not recommended. It’s typically made of hard plastic and may contain small parts that could be a safety hazard. Additionally, it’s unlikely you’ll be able to reassemble it successfully.
As mentioned earlier, there are much safer and more effective ways to create pupils for your safety eyes:
- Stickers: These are readily available and easy to apply.
- Fabric or felt: Cut out small circles and glue or sew them on.
- Paint: While delicate, it’s possible with careful technique.
If you’re still determined to try painting, it’s important to understand that you’re working with a small, round object that’s difficult to manipulate and paint inside. There’s a high chance of damaging the eye or having the paint run.

I wasn’t able to find anything either. Maybe you could try to sew some normal colored googly eyes too your projects by poking a needle through 2 spots on the back of the eye if you can get it through the material? Hot gluing could also be an option, I’m not sure how secure it is, but I know lots of crafters use hot glue to secure safety eyes

I did some digging and found these! There isn’t a wide variety of colors but they’re colored pupils for googly eyes with the safety backing! This is what you meant right?

Maybe you can use coloured safety eyes? Like the ones they use for the TY stuffed animals. I sometimes use them and they always turn out great!

To clarify though your looking for a specific colored pupil in the google eyes?
If I find a google eye that is a safety eye would you be ok with that?
