Why do my crochet projects with chunky yarn always become conical when I’m just doing increase rounds?

I’m not sure how to word it lol.
The increases just kinda cause that.
One way to get around it is to put the amount of stitches in the 2nd round into the first round.
So if the pattern says
- 6sc in mr
- Inc x6 (12)
You would just single crochet 12 in the mr. Hope that makes sense :]

Its because its a thick yarn!
If you don’t want this to happen id suggest taking the final stich count of r2 and making your mr that big
