hihi! i choose to make myself suffer when making character based costumes, and.im nit sure how to pull this off.
this is cas. cas is based off of bibically accurate angels. how would i making the wings over her face where i could
A. See out of the wings by some miracle 
B. Make it so they could fold out of my face so i can see.

Maybe use some thin arch wires? Like a spine for the wings in the front?
Basically, crochet over the wires then build off of them to make the wings or smt. Then on the costume it looks like some type of headpiece? Right? So you could possibly fold the wire into the headband or smt- {it may stick out, I’m not sure.} So that way it has some sort of a base. Plus because of the wire you should be able to bend them
{ALSO consider the weight of yarn you’re using, I recommend a light weight one, but you’ve probably already decided.} Good luck! ~ <3
P.S. I think any wire could work as long as it’s flexible, for instance stick to a 26 or 28 gauge wire. But of course it depends on what weight yarn you’re using. {So sorry for the rant! <33}

Hi! Someone who used to cosplay here lol. I definitely think that you should do a helmet type of “wig”. Tons of videos on youtube. Youll find yourself down an amazing rabbithole. But i would just try to mess with the feathers to allow some vision in between them. Maybe thin them out near the eyes (grab scissors and trim them up) much like when you put hair in your face! Less visibility, but youll have some. If your face is still showing too much, you can always grab some black nylon or the like to cover your face with to make it look not there lol.
