Country of the week #5

Hello hello and hello one more time!!(I’m not sick now, so I’m gonna yap, heheheheh:smiling_imp::smiling_imp:) So…! This week’s country is Norway!!! I really want to go there, bc I’ve played a video game with my dad, where the story was in Norway, so one day I have to go there. That’s something from my personal life, but let’s get into it without yapping!(I’ve already started heheheheh:smiling_imp::rofl:) I’m curious how many people also read all of my yapping, so if you are reading this, comment a dog emoji
Something from the history
• Before independence on the 17th May 1814, Norway was under Denmarks rule for over 400 years!!
• The traditional outfit to wear during 17th may is calle da ā€˜bunad’. There are different types of bunad for different regions of Norway, with different colours, embroidery, and embelishments. There are over 450 types of bunad!

Interesting places to go
Lofoten
A small island up north, perfect for those who love marine life, fishing, nature, puffins and cloudberries! If you’re lucky, you may be able to spot the beautiful northern lights light up the sky.

Bergen
The 2nd bigest town in the west coast, known for being the rainiest city in europe! 7 mountains surround the small city, so this city is ideal for those who are up for a hiking challenge, and also Bergen is home to many beautiful fjords.
(A photo when there’s nice weather…)

(…and when it’s not!)

Something from the language
Some basic phrases:
Hei, hvordan gĆ„r det: (informal) Hi, how’s it going?
Ha det bra: Goodbye (direct translation: have it good)
Jeg elsker skilingsbolle: I love cinnamon buns!
Some random facts because why not?
Norway has the most expensive taxi rides! In Oslo, capital city, it costs approx. 10 USD per mile!
People from there

Little thing at the end
If you were in Norway, show photos! I would love to see where you’ve been.🩵

:dog: I live in Norway and it’s kinda beautiful when its not bad weather. I live in ā€˜Tromso’ or ā€˜Tromsø’. We get so many tourists that here are almost more tourists than people that actually lives there. And in Tromso we say ā€œHeia, Ʀ hete Ineā€ and in Oslo they say ā€œHei, jeg heter Ineā€ and in English we say ā€œHello, my name is Ineā€. Now i am almost yapping as much as @Sashacrochets
