Heyyy guys! I was wondering: what’s on your 2026 crochet bucket list? (Credit goes to @HellloooBlue)
What are some things that you simply HAVE to make, or techniques that you want to implement into your style?
Here’s mine:
Summary
Make an Anchor the Octopus
Attempt a 6 day star blanket
Attend more markets in spring/summer
Design a mini version of Coral the Giant Realistic Sea Turtle
Write down and publish my sweater pattern
Release my Coral the Giant Realistic Sea Turtle pattern
I am in continuous market prep mode, so whatever I need for that. Have 2 patterns for @Centara to test and release this month. January dragon pattern to test and release.
I want to make a scarf like Mikasa wears in the anime AOT!
I have the yarn from Christmas, so I just need to get started. I like doing amigurumi a lot more, so I’m hoping I have the stamina for a nice thick scarf!
Other things I want to make:
-my first make/plushie in Bernat blanket yarn!
-a bandana/hair wrap
Honestly, as long as I can get myself back into crocheting and have motivation to crochet, I’m happy. But if there are any projects I would love to do once I get said motivation, I would like to crochet a giant amigurumi something. I’m thinking of doing a goose, an octopus, a dragon (really wanna do this one), or a peacock mantis shrimp, which I would have to write my own pattern for. I would also like to finish my granny square blanket that I started about a year ago when I started crocheting, crochet a cardigan and just more wearables in general, and actually start my idea for a Fiber Artist Charity Club in my community. I do want to try harder stitches that my brain says, “Run away, that’s scary, ew!” And as a last thing, I need to retry knitting.
Relearn to knit, make a wearable, get a more consistent tension, finish the super realistic octopus I stated as my second project (lol I was in over my head with that)
I want to make at least 3 wearables! At least a cardigan/sweater at least. And hopefully make one without a pattern- and implement a cool stitch into it!
Also actually publish more patterns. I freehand a lot of stuff but either don’t write it down, or do a completely wacky technique that makes sense to me but I wouldn’t know how to write down and so I just don’t.
