I was wondering what everyone got for Christmas. Mostly to know who else got crochet things they love. Also, what did everyone make that they gifted to someone else?
My mom got me everything I asked for and more! I absolutely LOVE how amazing my mom is! She got me a knitting machine, a yarn winder (so I wonāt keep winding my yarn on my cat), a 3 pack cat embroidery kit , YARN, and the new Batman Woobles kit! I learned crochet on my own and have never needed a kit, but I decided I really liked this one because A) Batman is awesome, and B) I absolutely love the design they made all 4 of the Batman hooks.
I will post a picture later of what I made for Christmas, but basically I made stuff just for my mom and my cats. I made my mom a little plague doctor, an Arctic fox, and a little Totoro. The fox and Totoro are tests I made, but I signed up for them specially because I knew my mom would love them. I also made her a card. My sister and I will share the yarn I got for Christmas because she crochets too and she will share the video games she got.
I am so sorry if this post is too long! I donāt post that often on ribblr.
i got some cool stuff, snacks from around the world, fidget toys, a dinosaur hoodie, and even lip oil from a small business ive been eyeing for a while
All of that sounds nice! Snacks from around the world sound cool. I personally donāt ask for beauty products for Christmas because my relatives would probably get something that make me break out in a rash. I have really sensitive skin to the point I canāt use a lot of really nice products.
i didnāt really ask for anything, and i rarely wear makeup either, only lips and occasionally eyeliner, but my mom remembered i mentioned it once while i was getting pictures taken and bought it for me lol
So lucky! you got some cool stuff for christmas. I got a hamper with toiletries in it. i ask for it every year and its honestly the best. i end up getting nicer shampoo and conditioner than i would buy myself haha. i made a few of those granny square chickens for my grand parents and they were so happy when i gifted them so that was really nice. heres one i made.
i also tried making myself an ugly christmas top because its hot as here at christmas time in australia but i totally winged it and failed. my tension was too tight and it just curled and became a mess.
NO WAY!!!
MY MOM GOT ME A KNlTTlNG MACHINE TOOO!!!
I also got a 50 dollar gift card to joans because she said āshopping for yarn is overwhelming. Do it yourselfā
thats such amazing stuff!! I got a photography box thingy to take āprofessionalā photos for the Etsy shop I plan on opening! I also got a record player!!!
No, same. We walk into Michaelās and sheās like, do you have your phone with you? Good. And wanders off into the home goods/decor kinda aisle. Prolly to go find some pots or wtvr, lol. Then, ofc, comes back and we check out. SIde note- she REALLY doesnāt like how much Iām spending on yarn
That sounds awesome! I think photography is amazing. I really want to buy something off etsy, but I need to open a bank account first. Iām thinking about opening one next year, or 2026.
I absolutely love mine too! My mom keeps laughing because I have wound so many cakes and she has seen the stack I accumulate quickly over the last few days. It definitely beats winding yarn around a cat toy or random stick.
got neither of the two things i asked for, but i did get a $50 gift card so iām guessing my parents just forgot exactly what the things were lol (not too upset bout it, this year was rough for all of us. will probably order the things in a few days ish idk )
otherwise i got a BUNCH of korean skincare products (mother works at a beauty supply store), a couple of sweaters and rings, and money !!
unfortunately i didnāt finish crocheting my gifts for my mom and dad, but am almost there. dad wanted a snoopy plushie and mom wanted an apron :3 should b done within a few days along with some other projects iāve been putting off!!!
Sorry you didnāt get what you asked for. At least you got a gift card for the stuff, and a bunch of other nice things! I almost didnāt finish making my momās main Christmas gift, the plague doctor. I only finished because I stayed up at night crocheting with a flashlight. Itās because I randomly fell asleep a few times meanwhile crocheting over a couple of days, so I lost a few hours. Money is always nice.
