sooooooo, i really want to crochet a doll (keyword “a” like totally, mhmm 100% trust) but HOW DO I DO THE HAIR, like the hair where they make a blo circle and starts crocheting the strands in layers? yeah im LOSTTTTT

I would do a slip know or something like that make it tight and cut the strand to make two strands per knot?idk Ive never made a doll before

ok my (terrible)idea is that you take a strand of hair and kind of embroider your hair on, and then tie a small knot near the base of the dolls scalp?? Idk

Ok so you can take a piece of yarn, fold it In half, bring it through a stitch on the head, then pull the 2 ends of yarn through the loop on the other end.
Here’s a video of what I mean. I know it’s a horse, but it would still work the same 
I used this method just a bit ago and it’s seemed to work pretty well. It’s not the most stable ever but it definitely works!!

For this type of hair I would crochet a circular “ wig cap” and attach it to the dolls head. Then I would make a chain as long as I wanted the hair to be the single crochet back up the chain and sew the hair strand to the cap with the yarn tail. You sew them on in whatever hair style you are trying to achieve. Hope this helps.

I just tie 2-3 strands in a stitch and brush them out with a metal brush pet brush
