Well… idk abt any specific patterns
(Yes I actually crochet in class for the past couple of days cuz the exams are finished and we get to do whatever we want:)
But I made coasters, mini pouches and gloves (those are the projects I have achieved during school:)

Before you go to school watch a vid on how to crochet shorts, there really easy to make and it’s really just sc and ch
This is the one I’m using to base off for my Patrick shorts:
Just make them longer or whatever to your preference, they take a while so it can take multiple school days! And you could make granny square pockets
I forgot to add but on my last day of school I made a realistic frog! It was a half day, 15 mins per class and it took the whole day and some of the van ride

Maybe granny squares would be good, and you can sew them together to make almost anything.

I run into this problem a lot aswell, I’ve just recently finished up a Granny Square Blanket that was a mindless project for me. I am currently working on a patchwork cardigan that are small pieces. I’ve also found that Berets in the past have been pretty easy to crochet. You can also do beanies but that may be too repetitive. There are lots of small items or big items with small components.

You are so lucky every time I try crochet in class I have to put it away so good luck finding the right pattern
But know matter what though I’m always gonna keep doing it
