So I’m going on a trip (including airplane flights) so what should I pack for crochet like I know I’m going to bring the necessities hook, stitch marker, eyes, needle, etc. but what yarn should I bring? Like how do I choose!? Should I pick a bunch of patterns then bring yarn for them? But idk how many patterns to pick because I will be gone for 2 weeks but some off days at home I can crochet like 6 things so how do I choose??
whenever i go somewhere i try to take stuff that either all uses the same yarn or doesn’t need stuffing, usually i crochet clothes while traveling!! or i make lots of little keychains
Keychains are smart but I cannot commit to clothes
that’s so real
I definitely recommend non amigurumi projects. I find it easier because you don’t need to bring stuffing, eyes and stuff. Maybe a clothing item if you have one on the go or wild like to make one
Or a bag!
Ooo yeah!
I could make some snakes because they only need stuffing in the head
I am getting on an airplane soon. Brought some random yarn for making amigurumi that I will wait to stuff and add eyes when I get back home. Brought kitchen towels and yarn to crochet toppers for.
Snugglers only need stuffing in the limbs so you could make those
Bandanas, tips, blankets, cardigans, anything that doesn’t need stuffing or lots of different colors
I didn’t even read the whole post because I have to go to bed but for the airplane you can take scissors but they have to be a certain size, it may vary depending on the airport or airline but I had a pair that was mm over and it got confiscated so take tiny ones!!! Do some research though into because I don’t want your scissors getting confiscated I have taken small ones and it’s been fine though, it’s the blade not the actually scissor by the way I think my scissor blade is like an inch lol but I think it can be more than that
I have little tiny scissors
Tips??
Oops I meant tops lol
Ohhhh ok, I just was like what are these new things
When I use posh yarn, I don’t even stuff the limbs!
i usually print out a few bigger projects that i wanted to make earlier but didnt have the time also some airlines wont let you have metal objects on your carry on lugauge so for scissors i use a pencil sharpener
The last flight I went on with crochet things I was able to bring a nail kit and so I put all my small crochet things in there
