I may have missed something, but I didn’t see an option to create discount codes, only gifting, giveaways, and marking patterns as on sale.
I’ve been thinking about selling crochet kits at markets using my PDF patterns, but some include video links for tutorials that can’t really be printed. It would be great to include a code in the kit that customers could redeem on Ribblr to unlock the pattern for free.
This could benefit Ribblr too by bringing in new users and driving traffic back to the platform.
Right now, the workaround feels clunky… adding a password in the kit, linking them to the pattern, having them sign up, and then message me so I can gift it manually. It works, but it’s not very streamlined, especially since I’d prefer to keep my patterns Ribblr exclusive. I understand they are going to have to sign up to Ribblr regardless of the process, but I feel people would be much more apt to join if all they had to do was type in a code instead of having to contact me directly.
It would also be helpful to create multiple discount codes per pattern or shop. Such as limited use codes for events or one time use codes for individual kits (e.g., 10 kits = 10 unique codes). Having the option to auto disable codes after redemption, or remove them manually, would help prevent sharing and keep things controlled.
Just something I thought might help benefit the community as a whole, especially since it seems like more and more of us are getting into selling at markets.
