Most journals I see are made because of testercalls
And you could always say something at the end of the pattern like ( I would love to see your makes please make a journal)

Most of the makes in my patterns are from testers! I have about 12 people test each pattern and they are required to post a picture. A few people have posted thier makes for my cyclops and baby penguin patterns as well! I have a note in the intro of each of my patterns that says to share their projects though!:yellow_heart:

I personally try to, but many journals may be from testers, a good thing to know is you can test published patterns if you wish too, if it’s never been tested or you want another check you can post a tester call and have journals be a requirement

I agree with the testing with journals side of this. But, I also think maybe people just collect patterns, and have not made them yet. Maybe? I always make journals, because I like seeing them. They help me decide if I want a pattern or not.

This is definitely true! I am guilty of “collecting patterns” and I do hope that I can make a bunch of them. I don’t buy patterns that much, but when I do, there has to be a journal so I can see how another crafter made the pattern. There was 1 time I bought a pattern that didn’t have a journal though. It was a little bit of a risk but $1.86 was definitely worth it! I have posted a journal for it now so that others can see! It was a dragon. The listing said that it was low-sew but it turned out to actually be no-sew! I just added a few stitches to secure the wings better. But I’ve already made another one! Hopefully now that a journal is posted, more people can get the pattern because it was amazing!:yellow_heart:

I personally try to post a journal each time I use one, but many people do not.
