anyone else hold their yarn like this without the index finger up? I hold my work with my index and thumb, while controlling tension with my middle two.

I don’t hold my index finger up, but I don’t hold my yarn your way either :laughing:

You will see me in videos holding my index finger up though :face_with_peeking_eye: the way I naturally hold it is… weird :joy:

My tension is held mostly by my pinky finger :joy: yarn goes over my index and under my middle, ring, and pinky fingers.

I don’t hold my index finger up but I also don’t hold my project like that either. I have been told by every single person that has seen me crochet that I hold my yarn weird. Eh..it works for me. I do realize it slows me down tremendously but I haven’t been able to figure out any other way. I have figured out left and right hand crochet but not a different way to hold my yarn to improve speed. I shall just be wonky.
