Hiiiiiii!!!
So, my Grandma just gave me some yarn cause she does plastic canvas (which is like a plastic board w/ holes and you take yarn in a needle and pull it in and out to make a picture or you can bend it to make a box or smth)
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knew the possible weight of this yarn from looking at these pictures???
- Weight 1
- Weight 2
- Weight 3
- Weight 4
- Weight 5
- Weight 6
- Other (tell me in the comments)

Does anyone know what hook would go good w/ it? Ik that 5.5 mm, 6 mm, and 6.5mm usually go w/ weight 4, but idk how those would go w/ this yarn..

I usually use 5mm for clothing pieces + accessories and 3-4mm for amigurumi :)

I personally use a 2-3mm for plushies since I don’t make clothes

You could try using wraps per inch to work out how thick it is:

For hook size, I would make a swatch to test it and if the fabric is too holey then make another swatch with a smaller hook.

So for like clothes I would probably do a 4-5mm but then for amigurumi I like using a 2.5mm just because I like tight stitches (I mainly use weight 4 so if you have any questions feel free to ask
)

I ususally use a 4mm hook to 3.5 mm hook when making amigurumi or a 5mm hook to make non amigurumi.
