I have some exciting news to share today! One of my favorite teachers is having a baby girl! She will be a mom for the first time, so I want to make her or the new baby something special
Some of my ides are
blanket
beanie/hat
rattle
If you know any free patterns that are good for any of the ideas, that would be helpful!
Also if you have any other ideas, let me know!
I want to celebrate this special moment with you all, and make sure that my teacher feels loved and supported during this time
i have an idea but i dont know if its what your looking for, if you have seen those rose bouquet blankets but i think if you did the rose buds in pink for the girl that that would be smth sweet for your teacher to remember!
I made this baby blanket for a friend last year and really enjoyed the process. If I remember correctly, it’s a 8 row repeat and each row is a bit different, so it kept it interesting but not so much so that I couldn’t relax while working. It worked up surprisingly quickly, and the finished piece is so dainty and sweet!
i second the idea to make a snuggler! @Craftsrme67 (hope it’s okay to tag!) has a lot of really cute snuggler options. just be sure if you do make a snuggler/plushie, don’t include safety eyes since they can be a choking hazard to little ones! i think it’s amazing that you want to make her something – i’m sure she’d really appreciate it!
here’s a link to the shop where there are a bunch of free snuggler patterns!
I have been making snugglers for my friends who are having kids. Also a couple years ago I made a jumbo version of one of those whales that you can find that’re always marketed as beginner friendly. I don’t have any pictures of it but it was about six inches in diameter, i hear the little one likes to kick it around like a ball.
I’ve been using the snuggler patterns by @sleepingcatcrochets.
Or take a regular crochet pattern for an animal that has a round body and just not stuff the body, only the head
