My new Tiny Valentine pattern just dropped and is Free For Followers (F3) all month!
Two options-
A functional envelope to fill with hearts, notes, or one Andes candy for a sweet surprise!
Sew the flap closed and stuff for a cute keychain, ornament, or toy.
At just 2 1/4" long in worsted weight (4) with a 3.5 mm hook, this stitches up fast enough to make one for all the special folks in your life.
Wouldn’t this be so cute in a garland, wreath, or anniversary advent calendar with a special message to read each day? Or make a tiny time capsule.
Whether you’re celebrating Valentine’s, Galentine’s, Palentine’s, or just want a little way to show you care anytime, this is the perfect quick project.
Hi Mentaldee, hope you’re doing well! You are very welcome. I stuff mine with catnip and wool and sell in a local shop and give them to my friends’ cats.
YW, I know it’s hard for a lot of folks to pay for every pattern. I’m going to offer specials like this to followers a little more frequently in hopes more will buy one or two when they can to support my small business.
Speaking of, I’d better get back to work on my next project.
Lol always some WIPs! Do you follow @Kreaida on Insta? They did an amazing vlog to her a month just about finishing dozens of WIPs and finished them ALL! I never have more that a few at a time but if I did that would be #goals!
Oh lots of places! I sell my makes through a local shop, so I always make some seasonal designs inspired by whatever I love about that time of year and various holidays. I live in a fairly multicultural city, for the Midwest, and want to represent the diversity around me in my craft. I also get inspiration from my daily life, cooking, gardening, nature documentaries, anything really. I occasionally take custom commissions or make pop culture subjects as gifts, but prefer to work on my own ideas.
When I think of an idea, I sketch it out in my crochet journal and ask myself how I can capture the essence of the subject in yarn plus add a little flair or nice technique to it. After I have a solid pattern draft, if it seems like something common, I sometimes search to see what others have done so I can find a way to be more unique or make an improvement. I have so many more ideas than I can ever make and write up, I want to prioritize designs that I think are special!
Thanks for asking, I am clearly passionate about crochet! Where do you look for inspiration?
