I made an acorn today because it was almost 70 degrees so I went outside and I saw a squirrel and it was rlly cute, and it made me happy! So I made an acorn because squirrels eat acorns!

I generally free-hand these. What I do is as follows:
1)Sc across into top of folded towel (stitches as close as you prefer, I tend to do too many lol), ch 2, turn
2) Dc across, ch2, turn
3) Dc every other stitch, ch2, turn
4)Repeat 2 and 3 two more times each
5)Dc across for 11 rows (best if even number of stitches including the ch2 as a stitch), ch2, turn
6)In this row, make the button hole by ch2 and skipping 2 stitches in the middle of the row (make even number of dc’s either side), ch2, turn
7) Dc across, ch1, turn
8) Final row: I make it rounded by a pattern of sc2, hdc2, dc3, hdc2, sc2, (adjust according to how many stitches you have at this point), FO
