Filet HELP

Hi! I need some help with a filet crochet graph. I’m trying to recreate the wing tapestry in the attached picture, but I need the finished tapestry to be small, around the size of the one in the picture.

I’m planning to start with 125 chains and work dc, ch 2, dc for the filet mesh. When I chain 125, I don’t have enough space for the full graph/design.

I’m using the Filet Tapestry option in Stitch Fiddle, but I’m confused about how the graph squares translate to the actual crochet spaces.

If anyone could help me figure out the right size for the graph, I’d really appreciate it! I’m also open to someone making the graph for me if that’s easier. I just need it to work with 125 chains and stay small, not turn into a huge tapestry.

this is also for a Etsy order.

Thank you! :two_hearts:

Wow, I love it. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

To make it small like the one in the picture, you’d need to use a fine crochet cotton/thread and a corresponding hook size.

So with filet crochet, each square equals 2 sts, either a (ch1, skip1, dc) or (2dc). So if your graph shows 125 squares across, you will need to chain 250. Or if you want to ch2 in the ‘open/white’ squares you would need to ch 375.
