so im trying to follow this pattern (using US terminology) and the first step is to double crochet 6 but i dont know what that means, do i chain 6 then dc them or am i meant to guess how much to chain at the beginning ?
Generally, the first step should either be a chain, a ring, a magic ring, or an explanation of some form of foundation stitch. If it’s a ribblr pattern, contact the designer and ask.
thank you, i just messaged them now waiting for a reply
without seeing it, I’m guessing from her question that she understands how to read a pattern but that this one has an error, but she’s new here and first ribblr pattern
turns out it started with a magic ring but they put MC in the instructions and didn’t put it in the abbreviations bit so i just missread it haha
lol, I thought it might have been something like that. Do you have the hints turned on for your pattern? The lightbulb icon will turn on hints, then any abbreviations or terms will be clickable to give you the full term, written instruction, and some even have a video…it will also allow and on-screen counter if you click the word “repeat”
I have found that the program tends to automatically format my patterns into abbreviations, even if I write the whole word out.
thank you so much that’s really helpful
