flagged post??

hi someone flagged my post from the pattern i found at pinterest. But i dont know whats wrong with the fact i posted it?? does someone know what it is bad to do that?
(btw im not mad im a lil bit confused)

Yeah, I’m pretty sure even if it’s a free pattern you’d need permission to show it. The designer may have put it as a pdf accessible to everyone but it does not mean people have the permission to show their patterns. Idk it’s confusing (even if the pattern was there when you were scrolling). Tbh I’m not the best explainer but it’s a rough idea idk.

I haven’t seen the post so I don’t know for sure if this is the case for what you shared, but often on Pinterest there are photos of patterns that have been uploaded without the knowledge or consent of the designer (I’ve seen some that still have “do not re-distribute” visible on the image). It’s best to always verify the source of the image, and link to wherever it originally came from instead (e.g. the designer’s website or YouTube video) if you’d like to share. Also as a general rule, try to always avoid linking images of any instructions as it can be regarded as a form of piracy (this is the most likely reason I can think of for the post being flagged).
