"Folders" for patterns/stash/etc

I think a folder for beanies, a folder for toys, a folder for socks, etc would be a really nice way to organize my patterns or my pattern wishlist

I like this suggestion! Different folders to keep it super organized :blush:

Hello everyone! I hope you’ve been safe and well  I wanted to throw a suggestion out there to create “Folders” for your patterns, or stash, etc. Folders was the only word I could think of phrasing it by, but I’m sure there’s a better word lol.

Essentially what I mean is having the ability to make a “folder” with whatever you name you want (like amigurumi, Christmas, etc) and place your patterns in that to help declutter your pattern library (I know I do :joy:)

This could also be applied to your stash as well! I would really like it if I could group my stash together like all yarns together, all crochet hooks together, knitting needles, etc

For reference of this, think YouTube with their playlists, Pinterest with their boards, etc (like Pinterest perhaps another option to create a folder within the folder?)

Thanks for reading if you did, make sure to drink water and stay safe

Agreed, I do think this has been mentioned/ suggested before, but I’m here to support this suggestion!

I remember mentioning it before and I’m sure others have said so as well or just wished for it so I thought it would be perfect to make a post for the new suggestions space

As I said, I’m 100% here for supporting your suggestion… I also thought pointing out that it had been mentioned before might help “the powers that be” see how desired it is

It’s noted! Suggestions with more interest/likes are likely to be prioritized if there’s a product fit for our roadmap. So we’ll continue tracking this topic!

Yeah I just may or may not be trying to add more comments to boost it up and get more people to see it and consider it lol :joy: it’s definitely interesting to see how more likes/interest gives Ribblr the idea to add it

Great idea! I hope it’s implemented soon…we have access to soooo many amazing patterns and it’s easy to get lost in them.

Oh definitely I forget what I have in my own pattern library sometimes and get surprised seeing something “new” that I forgot I owned lol

I think this is a great idea to sort out all those amazing patterns

I would LOVE this. Especially since thats the major reason why I love PDFs so i can organize them on my Ipad. I think allowing sorting or folders would be an extremely attractive feature for those who might be on the edge purchasing an interactive pattern!

I would also like folders or some means of organizing my pattern library

I would also like the patterns that I’ve bought be highlighted, bolded or some other means so when I see them posted about on Ribblr I know that they are already in my library

This is an amazing idea!! I find myself randomly scrolling through my patterns to only find the one I’m looking for after about 3 or 4 passes. I think this would be great! I would even love it if it went to the extent of being able to have said folders inside folders (yes I am that type of person when it comes to certain things lol :joy:)

Ooo that’s an interesting idea! You should make a post on the new suggestions tab so others can see it too  it might be better than having it buried in the comments because I can definitely see how useful that could be

For sure! I love the idea of having a folder named Amigurumi and inside are other folders for dogs, bees, etc same with garments; hats, tops, etc

I think it is needed. As much as I like browsing through my patterns, sometimes I am looking for something specific. And my old brain doesn’t always remember a keyword to search for. So, narrowing it down a bit would be awesome.
