I’ve never gotten the free gem option before the update, but I assume in the past, you used to get at 1 or more gems when you landed on the free gems section. So, with the new gem update, you should get 100 or more gems to make the gem amounts equal, but I landed on the free gem spot today and I only got two gems. I’m not sure if this is a bug on my side or if this has happened to anyone else. @Ribblr If it isn’t a bug, could they change it so that you get an equivalent amount of gems to the amount you got before the gem update? I don’t think it is fair to get two gems when you land on the free gems spot on the wheel since it’s hard to land on the free gems spot and you can’t really use the two gems for anything. If it isn’t a bug on my side, could they change the gem amounts to 100+ gems to match with the amount from before the update?

Totally understand why that felt confusing!
The way it works is that we have a dedicated pool of free Gems to give away each period. Thanks to the Gem Boost, we are now able to spread that pool across many more winners than before so more Ribblrs can land on free gems and get something - and it does add up!
The amount itself is random, so sometimes it may be a small win and sometimes it may be a much bigger one. The main idea is to spread the pool across more winners overall.
That said, I do hear you that a small amount can feel low. I’ve already passed it along to our team and I appreciate you sharing your thoughts! 
Happened to me too and it honestly just feels disappointing that of all times you land on it now 
Sorry to hear about this. That is very disappointing. I’ve never landed on a gem space before & always get the postcard or an offer to buy a discounted membership…..which really isn’t a prize!
So I totally understand that spinning the wheel is not always a good thing & can be rather frustrating. Hope you have better luck next time.
