I need to get the eyes higher on the head next time. These darn patterns leave it to you to “eyeball” the placement of parts. 
Why do they do that? Is it difficult to state round 11, stitch 32 to round 13 stitch 28???

That’s one of my favorite things about Ira Rott Designs (unfortunately not on here, but she does everything from fun hats and accessories to amigurumi to decor) she gives exact when she can and good approximates when she can’t

This is why I place and pin things on first. When I find that I like it, I pin a bit extra to make sure it stays in place. But, yes, I would love if they put more of an idea of where things “should” be.
