I wanted to know if the instructions given in this way are understandable! I want the pattern to be as simple to follow as possible, since in addition to this free one, I’m going to make some for sale (I bought the Premium version of Stitch fiddle for making patterns)
Ok i was correct then. I should of just replied.
I have graph patterns in two formats.
Format one the designer had a photo on the main page the pattern added rectangles in the yarn color used with the number of st.
( personally i found this the easiest)
Format two
Also has a graph photo but its written out
They wrote it out say row one ch 70, row two 8 grey, 10 light grey, 2 white.
(While this is great it also can be alot for some)
I love stitch fiddle and i also find having a photo to give the person an idea what it looks like adds a bonus. I find format one easier because its less busy if that makes sense.
I do own graphigan patterns written both ways. Ive also designed my own and used just the graph photo on stitch fiddle to make a blanket.
If you bought the premium version, it will give you written. Is that where this is from?
First, I would change the color codes to Color A, Color B, etc …
This one, I left in the arrows and RS WS designations. But others, I removed those also. I copy the directions into a word program and edit first. Deleted what I don’t want included. If this doesn’t make sense, message me and I will try again.
Here is a screenshot from my free airplane chart pattern.
