Hi all! I hope you are doing well! I am having a Halloween sale on my shop! Whoohoooooo!
For all you who celebrate, who are you planning to dress up as for Halloween?!
That’s awesome! I’m a spiderweb lol
<3 I was actually thinking of crocheting up a quick spiderweb sweater thing because I don’t have a costume haha!
I’m going to be cinderella I’m actually going to a sale today where there are tricker treaters and I’m dressing up!
Very nice good luck with the sale, as someone who has all the patterns if you’re considering getting any I can speak of the quality of them
As for me I’m actually going to be a plague doctor! I made the cape/cloak/capelet whatever you prefer debating if I should make it longer or not. I’m going to crochet the actual mask so wish me luck and maybe some other things depending on any leftover yarn (a hat) or if I have the time
Awwuh, how cute! That sounds like so much fun! I hope you enjoy yourself and have some yummy treats!
Aww, thank you Kaylee! <3 You are always so supportive! Oh my gosh, that sounds like so much work! I bet it looks amazing! I know you will do great with the mask! My daughter and I are still trying to figure out what we are going to be… haha! The crochet spiderweb sweater thing I was thinking about seems fairly quick? o: IDK! It’s crazy how Halloween is already next week.
I’m dressing up as a werewolf, actually a character I created for an original comic book. This is what I’ve made so far:
Aww no problem, I love your shop so much I know I barely stared making the mask today lol I would have done it sooner but I got asked earlier this week to crochet two hats for someone else’s costumes so I made those first (thankfully finished it today and got some money
!)
I also have a spiderweb pattern thingy I want to make too I wasn’t going to make it but the patterns on sale so I plan on sneaking that in, wearing it the day of Halloween and my costume at night
all I know is I’m going to be a plague doctor for several Halloween’s now that I made it
What pattern do you plan to use for the spiderweb sweater thing? I want to use this one since I love the web on the sleeves but I’d love to see others as well before I fully commit to this one
Wow! That is SO awesome!
Yeah I have been SO busy with market prep I sort of put Halloween to the back of my mind. o: My daughter and I are doing our first market boutique thing tomorrow and we are so nervous and excited! I think it’s so great you got to make costumes for others because they can be like yeah so and so crocheted this for me! I was thinking about this one: https://youtu.be/VtQjWlf8NKA?si=xIRmHUOYhzU4iLMK
It looks cute and it’s free! I can’t afford to buy any patterns right now or I would totally buy it to support!
Ooo that sounds exciting! I hope your market prep goes well! I love the one you plan on making! It looks so nice if/when you do make it definitely share it, I’d love to see how it came out
Thank you! <3 It’s exciting but scary! Hehe. I will probably share some photos with everyone of the setup and stuff! I also thought it’d be cool to show what sold and what didn’t. :> I will definitely show you how it turned out! I’d love to see your costume and stuff tooooo!
Sorry for the late reply just wanted to finish the mask and share it! I’m currently debating whether to make the capelet longer to be more of a cape lol. I’m crocheting a wide brimmed hat and wondering what else to add to it so if you have any ideas let me know
I’d love to see how your market did! I was wondering how well things sell or what didn’t, I once heard from a crochet video about their market that they noticed items that wouldn’t sell would sell if there was more colored options of it, just a tip if you need some ideas of more patterns but don’t know what. Making the same pattern but in different colors could help!
Oh my gosh! That looks so amazing! You did such a great job! My daughter said it’s really cool too! Also I think the capelet looks like a good length for what it is, but it’s up to you!
So as an update the market went really well! We sold a lot of chickens haha! I kind of thought we would. Key chains were a big hit too and $5 deals. We might do more markets so I will keep the color options in mind!
Thank you!
Also glad to here your market went well! I image chickens sell well they’re so cute what type of chickens/keycahins did you end up making?
Of course! <3 I found my grizzly bear onesie from last year so I am just going to wear that and maybe put a nose on with makeup haha! I was going to crochet the spider web top but… I am SO burned out from that market and prepping. I’m just going to give myself a little break. I ended up making these chickens ! I thought they were so chubby and cute and I loved the shape of them. That was for the larger ones. For the keychains I ended up making up my own heavily inspired by that pattern and @loopsandknotscrochet 's chicken pattern. I just really liked the shape of the two of them. I just did a combination of both techniques they used and added my own details here and there. I am so thankful for all the awesome crochet tutorial videos and designers!
They’re so cute I love the shape of them too! Now I want to make more chickens lol Also completely understandable for feeling burnt out, I’m glad you have a costume figured out, for the spiderweb top I think the best thing about them is regardless of the time they’re still cool and awesome to wear whenever even if it’s not during October
so take as long of a break as you need
and if you end up making the spiderweb top later I’ll still love to see the finished project
Right?! I have so many colors I want to make them in. Hehe. I will definitely show you if I end up making it! I might because I wear so much black and I feel like it would be pretty over one of my black dresses or even a black shirt. Honestly… my whole wardrobe is mostly black with some dark green or scarlet red in there.
Ooo I love those ideas so many colors and ways to style
